Business ownership and management
- Establish or acquire a business in Australia.
- Directly operate and manage the business.
- Hold at least a 30% ownership interest in the business, or the prescribed ownership level where the business turnover exceeds the prescribed threshold.

Turnover and assets
- Your Australian business must have reached annual turnover of at least A$300,000 (approximately US$211,000) for at least 1 year.
- In the 12 months before you apply, you must meet 2 of these 3 requirements: your personal net worth and your capital in the Australian business together reach the prescribed level; your total investment in the Australian business reaches the prescribed level; or you create at least 2 full-time jobs for Australian citizens or permanent residents who are not members of your family.
