1. Your U.S. green card pathway: why file your EB-5 petition before September 30, 2026?

With EB-5, the timing of your filing is key to managing cost and legal risk. Experienced advisors and immigration attorneys recommend acting early, while current EB-5 policies still offer significant advantages:

  • Grandfathering under the EB-5 Reform and Integrity Act of 2022 (RIA): petitions filed on or before September 30, 2026 remain protected if the Regional Center Program later lapses, and are adjudicated under the rules in effect when they were filed.
  • Keeping the current US$800,000 minimum investment for Targeted Employment Area (TEA) and infrastructure projects, and limiting risk from future policy changes.
  • Preparing your EB-5 petition early to reduce timeline pressure and help ensure it is filed on time.
  • Selecting your EB-5 project carefully, in line with your green card and capital preservation objectives.

Assessing your case and starting your EB-5 plan early lets you make the most of the current policy window while building a long-term immigration plan for your whole family. With more than 21 years of experience and a commitment to integrity, IMM Group works alongside you from strategy through to the completion of your petition, helping you build an effective, well-structured pathway to U.S. residency for your family.

2. EB-5 at US$800,000: the Carson industrial infrastructure project in Los Angeles County, structured with green card eligibility and capital repayment in mind and administered by a local public authority

The project sits in a prime logistics location at the southern gateway to Los Angeles, California, close to the busiest port complex in the United States and major highway corridors.

The concept: turning a former landfill into productive land

The project is remediating 157 acres of industrial land on a former landfill that has sat abandoned for 60 years. It combines environmental cleanup with foundational infrastructure, creating clean, development-ready land for modern logistics centers.

Infrastructure visa set-aside and a job-creation buffer for the green card

As an infrastructure project, it gives investors access to set-aside visas: the 2% of EB-5 visas reserved for infrastructure projects. It is projected to create more than 13 jobs per investor, providing a buffer above the job creation requirement on the green card pathway.

Capital managed by CanAm, an established regional center operator

CanAm, which operates regional centers, has more than 35 years of experience and, according to CanAm, a 100% USCIS project approval record. The EB-5 loan is secured by development rights and a first-position lien on the project assets.

3. A second citizenship strategy: holding U.S. dollar assets and gaining global mobility through the InterContinental Grenada Resort

Grenadian citizenship through the InterContinental Grenada Resort project is a way to hold U.S. dollar–denominated assets while gaining global mobility.

Grenada’s passport ranks 25th in the world, giving citizens visa-free or visa-on-arrival access to 147 destinations, including the Schengen Area, the United Kingdom, Hong Kong, South Korea, and notably China. Grenada is also the only Caribbean citizenship-by-investment country whose citizens can pursue the U.S. E-2 treaty investor visa, a nonimmigrant visa, once the domicile requirement is met.

Invest from US$270,000 in shares of the InterContinental Grenada Resort, a luxury resort on La Sagesse Beach scheduled for completion by the end of 2026. Under the offering terms, the investment carries a stated return of 4% per year for 5 years, or US$54,000 in total, plus 7 complimentary nights at the resort each year. After the 5-year holding period, investors may sell their shares while they and their eligible family members retain their Grenadian citizenship. Grenada also does not tax non-resident citizens on worldwide income and has no inheritance tax.

4. Optimizing an international portfolio: European real estate and a potential pathway to EU citizenship from €250,000

Through European residence and permanent residence by investment programs, investors can obtain residency with an investment starting at €250,000 (approximately US$285,000). Depending on each country’s rules, the investment can provide the right to live in the country and travel within the Schengen Area, and may open a pathway toward EU citizenship.

When paired with a European residence or permanent residence program, real estate also becomes a foundation for building an asset base, securing a right of residence, and planning for your family’s long-term future.

Greece, Cyprus, and Malta currently offer residence or permanent residence through real estate investment, and these are the programs IMM Group presents to investors. Portugal and Ireland also offer European residency through investment funds.

With more than 21 years of experience in global investment and citizenship, IMM Group works alongside you from strategy through to the completion of your application, helping you build an effective, well-structured European investment and residency pathway for your family.

5. What determines success in Canada’s provincial entrepreneur streams: lessons from their history and practice, 2010–2025

Canada’s provincial programs now focus on entrepreneurs with genuine business ability who can create real economic value for the communities where they settle. Provincial entrepreneur streams use a two-step process: investors first come to Canada on a work permit to launch and run the business, and only then can they be nominated by the province and apply for permanent residence.

Success depends on preparing the application correctly and on your ability to execute the business in practice. Common risks include technical errors, difficulty proving the source of wealth, and business plans that lack market research or are unrelated to the applicant’s experience.

Entrepreneur applications with the highest success rates typically combine:

  • experience in a senior management role
  • a transparent financial background
  • a business project closely tied to the applicant’s existing expertise
  • adaptability and a long-term commitment to the local community

With more than 21 years of experience, IMM Group has advised many entrepreneurs interested in these programs and helped shape their application strategies. This practical experience allows us not only to support application preparation but also to help shape a business project aligned with each province’s priorities and prepare clients for the key stages of the review process.
