Second Citizenship Strategy: U.S. Dollar Assets and Grenada Passport Benefits for Global Travel Through InterContinental Grenada Resort
In 2026, broad access to destinations worldwide remains one of the core Grenada passport benefits. As international border controls become stricter and increasingly digital, Grenada passport holders can still enter many key destinations without applying for a visa in advance. This makes short-term travel more convenient than the traditional visa process, while keeping strategic options open — including access to Europe and a potential pathway to the United States through the E-2 visa.
The Grenada passport currently ranks 25th and gives access to 147 destinations without a prior visa. Since July 1, 2024, Grenada passports issued to applicants aged 18 and over have been valid for 10 years; passports for applicants under 18 remain valid for 5 years.

Grenada citizenship by investment: freedom to travel worldwide
IMM Group is the first and only Vietnamese company licensed by the Government of Grenada, since 2021, to promote the Grenada Citizenship by Investment Program and prepare applications under it.

The National Transformation Fund (NTF) contribution route currently requires a non-refundable US$235,000 for a single applicant or a family of up to 4. Under the real estate route, you can invest in shares of a government-approved resort project, InterContinental Grenada Resort (minimum US$270,000), rather than the US$350,000 minimum that applies to other approved real estate. The real estate investment must be held for 5 years.
Grenada has a common law legal system, uses English as its official language and is a member of the Commonwealth — factors that have laid the groundwork for numerous bilateral and regional visa-free travel agreements. As a result, Grenada citizens can travel without a prior visa to more than 140 countries and territories, including major destinations such as:
- The entire Schengen Area (Europe) – stays of up to 90 days in any 180-day period
- The United Kingdom – up to 6 months
- China – up to 30 days (a privilege held by comparatively few passports)
- Hong Kong, South Korea, Russia
- The UAE and many countries in Africa and Latin America
Grenada is also the only Caribbean citizenship by investment country with a bilateral investment treaty with the United States that qualifies its citizens for the E-2 visa. Under this treaty, Grenada citizens may apply for an E-2 Treaty Investor visa, which allows them to live in the United States while developing and directing a business they have invested in, provided they have been domiciled in Grenada for a continuous period of at least 3 years before applying.
