The Grenada citizenship by investment program continues to draw interest from investors worldwide for the benefits it offers, above all the travel freedom it provides: visa-free or visa-on-arrival access to 147 destinations. Below is the detailed 2024 list of Grenada passport visa-free countries and territories.
In an increasingly connected world, global mobility has become a common need, especially for business owners. Yet how far you can travel depends largely on the passport you hold. Some investors who already hold permanent residence in developed countries such as the United States, Australia, or Canada still cannot travel to most countries as freely as citizens can. As a result, many go on to obtain permanent residence in another country or a second citizenship so they can travel worldwide more quickly and easily.
Grenada citizenship is one option many investors choose, given its accessible investment level and the benefits it offers. Among the 147 destinations open to Grenada citizens, the United Kingdom and the Schengen Area countries stand out. Investors may stay in the United Kingdom for up to 180 days a year and in the Schengen Area for up to 90 days within any 180-day period.

Why investors choose Grenada citizenship by investment
The appeal of Grenada’s citizenship by investment program is no accident. Launched in 2013 to attract foreign investment and support the island nation’s economic development, the program offers a number of advantages, including a processing time of approximately 13–15 months and no requirements regarding the applicant’s age, education, work experience, or language skills.
There are currently two routes to qualify: a contribution to the National Transformation Fund (NTF) starting from US$235,000, or an investment in a government-approved resort real estate project, with a minimum investment starting from US$270,000.
Holding a Grenada passport offers investors and their eligible family members a range of benefits:
- Grenada citizenship is permanent and allows dual citizenship.
- The Grenada passport offers visa-free or visa-on-arrival access to 147 destinations, including the United Kingdom and the 29 Schengen Area countries (Germany, Italy, France, Finland, and others). Holders can stay in the Schengen Area for up to 90 days within any 180-day period and in the United Kingdom for up to 180 days a year.
- With Grenada citizenship, investors and their families may become eligible to apply for a U.S. E-2 Treaty Investor visa, provided they have been domiciled in Grenada for a continuous period of at least 3 years before applying.
- Access to education and healthcare in Grenada. Leading universities in Grenada often partner with universities in the United States and the United Kingdom. Notably, Grenada is home to St. George’s University, the world’s third-largest source of physicians for the United States.
- For some investors, Caribbean citizenship can also support tax planning. These countries generally do not tax non-resident citizens on income earned abroad, and they levy no inheritance or gift taxes.
Grenada and other Caribbean governments recently signed a cooperation agreement introducing common rules for their citizenship by investment programs, including an increase in the minimum investment. Investors considering Grenada should therefore check the current minimum investment levels before applying.
